The growth of new orders in industry accelerated significantly in June

In June 2023, the value of new orders in industry increased by 8.9% year-on-year and reached a volume¹⁾ of EUR 6.06 billion. After seasonal adjustment, new orders increased by 3.3% month-on-month.²⁾

New orders in industry rose for the fifth consecutive month, while the dynamics of year-on-year growth accelerated in June compared to the previous month. The volume increased in 4 of the 12 monitored sectors of industry.

Orders increased year-on-year the most in manufacture of motor vehicles, semi-trailers and trailers, manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. Orders decreased year-on-year mainly in manufacture of paper and paper products, manufacture of chemicals and chemical products, and manufacture of electrical equipment.
